Events and Trainings

The Colorado Fatherhood Network hosts webinars on best practices and special topics in Fatherhood and Family Services from local, state, and national experts. Research shows that engaging fathers and father figures through a whole-family approach increases positive outcomes for children, families, and communities. Emerging research is critical to work with participants, programs, communities, and policy. FRCA is honored to provide educational resources and opportunities to CFN members, supporters, and collaborative partners as an intermediary.

2026 May
Colorado Fatherhood Network Webinar

Practitioners hear from Brandon Dunn, PMHNP-BC, about how burnout develops, how to recognize early warning signs in yourself and colleagues, and what practical, evidence-informed strategies can be used during active burnout and recovery. Special emphasis was placed on the unique stressors within fatherhood and family services, including vicarious trauma, moral injury, and high-acuity caseloads. The session was designed to be accessible to both licensed professionals and non-clinical staff, providing clear, actionable tools that can be applied immediately in real-world settings. Participants took away a stronger understanding of burnout as a predictable, system-driven process, along with practical strategies to support sustainability—for themselves, their teams, and the families they serve.
