What is a Family Resource Center?

Family Resource Centers provide safe, accessible places for families to connect with comprehensive, coordinated services that help families achieve their goals. Programs at each center are tailored to the culture, resources and needs of the community they serve and focus on building on the strengths of each family and individual.

Family Resource Centers adhere to the Principles of Family Support Practice (English, Spanish) and the Strengthening Families Framework and Approach. Both are integrated into the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support, which have been adopted nationally.

Membership

Family Resource Center Association members are Family Resource Centers who agree to adhere to the Principles of Family Support Practice and the Colorado Revised Statute and, at a minimum, provide Family Development services and resource information and referral, as well as other core services as appropriate to their communities. FRCA’s Membership Committee reviews all applications for membership. To learn more, contact FRCA at [email protected] or (303) 388-1001.
