FRCA's Healthy Living program helps Colorado families access health care in their own communities. Health advocates at each FRCA member center help eligible families enroll in the Child Health Plan Plus, Medicaid, and other insurance coverage options, and help families navigate other health and/or nutrition resources available in their areas. Through nutrition and exercise programs based in strong evidence of success, families learn how to incorporate healthy eating habits and physical activity into their lives.
Recent Highlights
- Over 3,200 parents and children received nutrition education through the program in 2009
- Operation Frontline named FRCA its 2009 Partner of the Year
- Family resource centers assisted more than 4,000 families in accessing health insurance through the Child Health Plan Plus or Medicaid in 2009 -2010
