Grand County Sheriff's Office is hosting its second annual food drive for Mountain Family Center's Thanksgiving Project. On Friday and Saturday November 11th and 12th at City Market in Granby stop by to help the Deputies, Support Staff and their families supass their 2010 achievements that helped Mountain Resource Center provide over 80 Thanksgiving Baskets, 100 Christmas Dinners and fill the shelves at the Center's two food banks.
"There are more families and individuals visiting the Mountain Family Center than ever before in our 32 year history of serving Grand County," said Jill Korkowski, Executive Director of Mountain Family Center. "As we kick-off our two holiday projects, we are greatful that the sheriff's Department is demonstrating their commitment to caring about our community through this important food drive. This will allow the Center to reach one of our goals- ensuring every family in need has access to the food they need to prepare traditional Holiday meals."
Families who need a little help with their Thanksgiving Feast may call the Center at 970-725-3257 or come into the Center to fill out the necessary paperwork. Or, visit the center online at www.mountainfamilycenter.org and click on Holiday Projects tab.
